The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London is pleased to invite you to its annual Undergraduate Design and Research Symposium on Wednesday 15 June 2016 from 16:00 to 19:00 in the Queen's Tower Rooms.

What:

This is a fantastic opportunity to socialise with our third and fourth year MEng students and celebrate their work on the Civil Engineering degree course.

There will be poster presentations from the third year students on their Group Design Projects and the fourth year students on their Individual Research Projects, as well as students from the CDT in Sustainable Civil Engineering on their Grand Challenge Project looking at how London can cope with a population boom. Drinks and nibbles will be provided.

In total there will be 76 posters on display:
  • 11 Group Design Projects
  • 63 Individual Research Projects (full list available to download here)
    • 19 Environmental and Water Resources
    • 4 Fluid Mechanics
    • 6 Geotechnics
    • 21 Structures
    • 13 Transport
  • 2 Grand Challenge Project
In addition to the poster presentations the third year students on the Group Design Projects will be giving their final presentations in Skempton 164 from 9:00 to 16:00. The presentation schedule is available to download here.


Who:

Everyone is welcome to attend; members of staff, UG, MSc and PhD students, alumni, visitors from industry, and anyone else interested in seeing what the Group Design, Individual Research, and Grand Challenge Projects are about.
